This spoof of the most recent Nike ad (now starring Tom Cruise) makes it painfully clear that in almost each of his movies, there is significant running. Lots of it. And volleyball, and rock climbing, and pool, and football, and baseball, and for good measure... some more running.

I stumbled across your blog while I was in the process of doing some online research. One has to wonder whether all that running is in the original scripts, or if Cruise's supersized ego simply thinks he looks good running and insists those scenes be incorporated!
