It's odd that I ran across both of these clips today, as one is clearly a joke, and one is clearly a genuine trailer... but they both end up saying the same thing: you can lay down your music, and edit something up so that it can tell whatever story you want.
Here's Match Point by Woody Allen, and The Shining by, um... I dunno... Cameron Crowe? Maybe James L. Brooks? ;)
id like to know the song played at the begininning of the match poitn trailer.

That's a tough one. It looks like nobody knows, but lots of people would love to find out. Everyone knows the second song, and the last song, but not the first one.

When I head to www.imdb.com, they list the following music for the film, but I doubt it's any of these.
Georges Bizet (song "Mi par d'udir ancora" from "Les pêcheurs de perle" Italian version)
Gaetano Donizetti (song "Una furtiva lagrima" from "L'elisir d'amore")
Carlos Gomes (song "Mia piccirella" from "Salvatore Rosa")
Andrew Lloyd Webber (song "I Believe My Heart" from "The Woman in White")
Gioacchino Rossini (song "Arresta" from "William Tell")
Giuseppe Verdi (song "Desdemona" from "Otello")
Giuseppe Verdi (song "Gualtier Maldè!... Caro nome" from "Rigoletto")
Giuseppe Verdi (song "Mal reggendo all'aspro assalto" from "Il Trovatore")
Giuseppe Verdi (song "O figli, o figli miei!" from "Macbeth")
Giuseppe Verdi (song "Un dì felice, eterea" from "La Traviata")

The first song is by a Dublin based band called Autamata. Its called Postscript and can be found on My Sanctuary, which I highly recommend.

The second song in the trailer is from Koop, called Waltz for Koop from the so called album.

There are 3 songs. The last song is an instrumental and it's played while they're kissing in the rain. It's called X-Ray Dog - Darkness according to adtunes.com. The trailer I'm referring to is 2 minutes 28 seconds
1. Autamata - Postscript
2. Koop - Waltz for Koop
3. X-Ray Dog - Darkness
